Types of Testing 

ACADEMIC ACHEIVEMENT ASSESSMENT

The Academic Achievement Assessment assesses a child’s current level of academic ability.

 Achievement grade testing in core subjects:

  • Reading ability

  • Reading fluency

  • Reading comprehension

  • Math fluency 

  • Math reasoning 

  • Spelling 

  • Grammar

This assessment is administered in-person and takes about 1.5 hours to complete. 

Following the assessment is a half hour virtual consultation with Amy Schaffner to review the score report and results.

COMPREHENSIVE LEARNING PROFILE ASSESSMENT

The Comprehensive Learning Profile Assessment assesses the strengths and weaknesses in foundational skills necessary for learning.

CLPA

This assessment is administered individually,

in-person, and takes about 2.5 hours.

Following the assessment is a half hour virtual consultation with Amy Schaffner to review the score report and results.

One inclusive fee.

Skills assessed:

  • Academic achievement

  • Cognitive process

  • Visual perception

  • Phonological skills

  • Fine + Gross motor ability

This assessment is beneficial for a more in-depth understanding of learning struggles.

To establish an accurate baseline of your child’s abilities, Amy assesses with the highly regarded, nationally-normed Woodcock Johnson IV Tests of Achievement.

 

The WJIV is a standardized test that is expert in screening, diagnosing, and monitoring progress in comprehension and fluency of reading, writing, and mathematics. 

  • Individual administered testing with educational therapist

  • Score report review  at your convenience  

  • Recommendations based on your child’s performance
