EDUCATIONAL THERAPIST

Amy has homeschooled all three of her children from kindergarten to college and discovered along the way her love for helping children love learning. 

 

She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology and conducted post-graduate studies in child-development and neuro-science with a focus on education. 

In 2008, she completed training for the Orton Gillingham Method and began her journey as a test administrator with the Woodcock Johnson Tests of Achievement. Since then, she has served and helped hundreds of families in the Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee regions.

In 2015, Amy trained under the world-renowned Dr. Harold Blomberg MD in Blomberg Rhythmic Movement.

 

With a desire to delve deeper, Amy studied and became a licentiate with the Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology in the INPP Method in 2018. 

 

In 2019, she earned her post-graduate certification for Educational Therapy from University of California at Riverside

Emerging Minds for Learning began in 2019.

As a mother of three herself, Amy recognizes the important impact parents have on their child’s education, whether at home or a public or private institution. She works directly with parents to equip them with the right tools to help their child succeed.

Amy believes in cutting the fluff and giving you, the parent, the keys to helping your child succeed. With her vast array of knowledge and highly qualified background, Amy aims to help parents, caregivers, and educators, navigate their child’s academic journey.
